Ashlynn and Opal

They started out just playing in a little dirt
Then started filling the rest of their cups with water
And throwing them on each other, cracking  up

then they had to dry off together, but these pictures don't even begin to show how cute, funny, and sweet they were being

These two saw enough of each other this summer that they really remembered each other and played so well together.  They both have just enough sweet and just enough attitude to make them a pretty funny pair!

Fish Lake

The mini van, jam packed for two nights of camping

Leah got a lot of love from my family, it definitely helped having them there
Grandma and Grandpa Ernst, cute as ever

That's a smile on Leah's face if you can't tell, first one captured on film
I'll post more of these two rug rats tomorrow, it was so fun watching them play together
Both Adie and Eliza's favorite part of camping was playing with Ila, and there were even cheetoh's on this trip

Ashlynn, ready for the ride home
We had a successful weekend of camping for our first time as a family of six, actually it's the first time we have attempted it since I was pregnant with Ashlynn.  We went down to Fish Lake, where my family camped growing up.  We usually met up with my grandparents and cousins there, so it was awesome having some of my cousins there with their kids too.  It would have been harder without my family there, but I think it gave us the confidence to do it again (eventually).  The girls loved catching frogs, making homes for them, swimming in the lake, trying to catch chipmunks, and running around with their cousins.  I'm going to put more pictures of Ashlynn and Opal on here in the next couple of days - they were adorable running around and laughing together so I took a ton of pictures of them.

Our new routine

We're finally getting back to doing some of the things I was avoiding while I was recovering. It's nice to feel like we're getting back to normal and figuring little Leah out - she's almost a month old already! We had a productive day with Ryan's parents, the girls still enjoy getting jobs and working with us.  They helped pick up apples, dig potatoes, make applesauce, can beans and stack wood Saturday.

Ashlynn came in from helping with wood all hot and sweaty "we need a bath some day"

We went for out first jogger walk (they ran, I walked) since about halfway through my pregnancy, I enjoyed watching Adie and Eliza run, and look over their shoulders to make sure the other one wasn't getting close enough to pass, or get mad when they did get passed.

Of course most of this gets done when a Grandma is here to help, but it's a start at least

Lacey Family

We got to spend Sunday morning with the Lacey family, all of a sudden we've got seven little girls to look after when we're together

and I think these two could cause some trouble together if left alone long enough...

I was too lazy to climb the fence to get good slip and slide pictures, but the girls had a great time together.  Eva was fearless
I liked how their twins just lounge on each other, Vivian was kicking Daphne the whole time they were sitting like this and Daphne didn't seem to notice

                                                         Eva wanted to ride Buddy
                                                                  Busted!

Loved spending the morning with you guys, thanks for making the drive and spoiling us!  Oh and a special thanks for the Hello Kitty body glitter and press on nails that came with glue, can't wait for my turn to spoil Eva...
