Our little Ashlynn - so much to say about this one! The first words that come into my head are: crazy, spit-fire, funny, difficult...
She can really push our buttons, and as I was finding pictures to post here every one of her made me laugh/smile. She's so funny, she doesn't seem to care what anyone thinks about her (which can be good in a lot of ways, and hard to deal with sometimes).
She loves to dance, play outside, play with LEGOS, do crafts, and play "little girls" with Leah. Lately she makes sure Adie, Eliza and I know she doesn't really like playing it anymore she's just doing it to make Leah happy. We all nod and agree and giggle at each other - nobody is that nice - she will play with her for hours. She's super physical and always has been, she does everything fast and hard, not a lot of finesse with her. She loves strong hugs and a good head massage. Her shoes are usually falling off, her hair falling out, and her jacket dragging in the dirt - all things that drive me nuts and make me smile.
She's doing great in school, she's making friends (she still claims Opal as her BFF), and her teachers tell me she's a rule follower. She loves PE and choice time (where it sounds like she chooses the craft table most of the time).
Her eyes are getting better, I have a lot of pictures like the one below from the couple of months before we figured out how to help her light sensitivity. Since she's been doing the drops they have been much better.
One of her masterpieces she made at Young At Art!
Excited to get her first chapter book for homework
I'm always telling her to put more clothes on, and she's always taking them off. In the picture below she snuck her swimsuit on under her dress, then took the dress and leggings off while I was driving
Leah is so lucky to have her as a playmate. Ash is usually patient, helpful, and generous with her, she has been sick a couple days this year and it was great having her home (since she wasn't so sick that she couldn't play).
It's almost her 6th birthday, she wants a soccer birthday party and is hoping to get a purse with some play makeup in it - I'm looking forward to spoiling her. She's usually really grateful and the first one to thank us when we've treated them. She says she is going to pick chili and cottage cheese for her birthday dinner - not because they are her favorite foods though. They are foods that Adie and Eliza really dislike so she thinks it will be funny to make them eat it. Sweet and Sour Ashlynn Rose!
